Storms! They come on their own terms, in their own ways and in their own time. We have no control over them. They can, in a moment’s notice, lay claim to lives young and old. They can devastate either a local community or have a global impact.
While we cannot control the storm, we can control the response. We can examine our own hearts and lives to evaluate if we are living a life that brings peace, unity and love to those around us. We can choose to live graciously towards those around us who are suffering. In the midst of someone else’s suffering we can exercise one of the greatest powers known to man, the power to love.
We may not have the power to stop the storms of life, but we do have the power to bring a little sunshine!
