“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14, NIV).
I can only imagine what it must be like to have the President of the United States take time out of his busy schedule to come to visit me in my home, to get to know me and my family. More than this, that the purpose of such a visit is to inform me that all my major needs in life will be met. Of course the visit from the President will not be taking place any time soon, if ever at all.
But there is One, who did come and make such a visit. And he is so much more than the leader of any nation on earth. His name is Jesus, the Creator of heaven and earth. And the purpose of his coming and his dwelling among us; well that was his effort to deliver to us a very special message. If we are willing, if we have faith, He will meet our every need.
