“Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.” (John 1:40-42a, NIV)
Andrew had his priorities in order! He had just spent the day with the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One of Israel! He had just spent the day with the One who would save his people from their sins. He had just spent the day with the One who eventually die for the sins of the world. What an incredible love he must have found in the Christ.
Like anyone who has just seen the greatest treasure one could lay eyes upon, Andrew finds someone to share the good news with, and the first one Andrew chose was his brother Peter. Have you seen him my friend? Have you with joy shared the One named Jesus?
