That The World Might Believe (20101201)

“Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the miraculous signs he was doing and believed in his name.” (John 2:23, NIV)

It was prophesied in advance (Isaiah 35:5) that the Messiah would come healing the blind, deaf and the lame.  And making the most of his opportunity that is exactly what Jesus did in the midst of a multitude of Jews who had come from all over the world to observe the Passover.  Many people witnessing his miracles came to believe that Jesus was, indeed, the Messiah.

Just as Jesus was known as the Messiah by his miracles of healing, Jesus said the church would be known as his disciples by their love one for one another.  Jesus has faithfully lived out his part in that the world might believe in him.  What of you and me, have we lived out our part loving one another in a manner that causes those around us to believe that the One who lives in us is Jesus?

Living Big In Jesus,
