“Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?”
39 “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was about the tenth hour.” (John 1:38-39, NIV)
I like Jesus’ style! Most people are in such a hurry to get everything done.
Jesus, however, was different, and at least on this occasion so are two disciples. There is no indication of hurry. Rather, the disciples approach the Lord in a manner that seeks to spend quality time with him. And true to form, Jesus takes them up on it.
What a marvelous day it must have been walk the road, to share a meal, and to simply learn about their new friend. How about you? Would you take some time today to get to know the One who loves you? His name is Jesus.
