“ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men…14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-4,14, NIV).
Who is this “Word” that was at the beginning, who was with God, and was God? The Apostle John tells us it was the One who became flesh. The One who lived amongst us, it was Jesus! Jesus is the Creator. And it is in Jesus that we find our life and our light. The question is, are we allowing ourselves to “see” him, to see his glory, his grace and his truth? Are we allowing Jesus to be the light and life of our lives?
