Certainly Memorial Day has a very special place in the hearts of most Americans as each of us has had the opportunity to stop and reflect upon those great service men and women gave their lives that we might enjoy the fundamental right of freedom. But, freedom is more than a right, it is a gift. And as gifts go, it is the most precious and the most expensive. That is because freedom is not free. Freedom comes with a very high price tag…blood.
And while our freedom in America is probably the greatest freedom the world has ever known, there remains one freedom greater. And that, my friends, is the freedom that can be found in Jesus Christ. To be free from Satan’s grasp, to be free from a Devil’s hell, to be free from doubts and fears of the heart; to be free as a child of God with the promise of Eternal Life. Freedom purchased by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus the Resurrected Son of God! Would you my friend be free?
