“4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. 6 There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9 The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.” (John 1:4-9, NIV).
Many of us experience what Henry David Thoreau called, “lives of quiet desperation.” Some have called such days a “dark hour” in our lives. Others have talked about their hope of seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus came into the world to be a light unto the world. He came to be the true light that breathes new life and light into the hearts and souls of all people. He came into the world to shine, to shine upon you! Let me invite you, friend, to see the light and life of Jesus.
Living in the Light,
Keith
