Jesus, The Available Leader (20101207)

“Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council.  2  He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.” (John 3:1-2, NIV)

That is how it is if you are a leader.  You are available during daylight as well as at night.  And it was at night that Nicodemus came to visit and learn from Jesus.  What a great example the Lord is for us who desire to lead others.  Rather than telling Nicodemus to come back during “business hours” he welcomes his evening guest and engage one another in discussion about matters of life.

How about you?  Who are you looking to lead?  Are you making yourself available to those who are looking up to you?  Are you flexible and accommodating in order to meet the needs of those who rely upon your strength and wisdom?  Are you following the example of Jesus?

Living Big In Jesus,
