Sometimes it feels as if we are under incredible pressure to succeed. And, even when we have, by the world’s standards succeeded, we often discover that it was not everything we thought it would have been.
God has something different in mind for us. Real and lasting success will be carried on not only through this world but throughout eternity as well. Success by God’s standard passes not only the test of time, but the test of eternity as well. And man, by himself, does not have the ability to create the situation or the scenario for that to take place. But, thanks be to God, Jesus does.
Peter said, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him…” (2 Peter 1:3, NIV). God has to power to make us successful in both life and godliness; for both this life as well as throughout eternity. If we in this life truly know Jesus, and allow him to lead us, we will then truly know what it means to live a life of success.
