Heaven! Now that’s the place I want to go to when my time here on earth is done. But, I am occasionally tempted to think that I don’t have everything that I need to get there. That’s when I am so glad to be reminded by God’s word that it’s not all on me, much of it is on God.
Listen to the Apostle Peter’s words saying, “His divine powerhas given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him…” (2 Peter 1:3, NIV). The question of getting to heaven for the Christian is not if you have everything in order in and of yourself; rather it is in having faith and trusting that Jesus does!
Jesus’ divine power has provided for us everything we need for life and godliness, which will in the end get us to heaven. And this comes to us by way of having a saving relationship in Jesus.
Do you know Jesus? I hope you do! If you don’t, get to know him, learn what it means to have a saving relationship with Jesus. And when your time on earth is done, I hope to see you in heaven!
