Eternal life! Now that is something to get excited about! And why? Because Jesus is describing for those who would have faith in him that they would have a quality of existence that is better than anything we can fully comprehend or have in this world. Jesus will grant to those who have faith in him a quality of existence that gains the victory over sin, pain, suffering and death!
Jesus’ promise is of a life of love, joy, peace, kindness and goodness for those who would follow after him. Listen to his words, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV). These words of encouragement are for you my friend. If you believe, if you obey and if you follow Jesus there is waiting for you, “eternal life.”
