So what is it for you? Do you love the light, or do you love the darkness? I mean, stop and think about it, which one do you really love? Do you know someone who has been living in the dark for too long? Is it someone else, or might it be you? Is it really worth it? To “get away” with your secret sin, yet having always to live and hide in the shadows? All that exhausting energy trying “not-to-get-caught,” trying to make sure that your secret always goes unnoticed. How depressing it is living in the shadows. Jesus came to show us a better way.
Listen to his words in John 3:19-21, “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”
