How many times in life have you thought to yourself, “Will it ever get any better?” Or, “I wonder if I can ever be saved?” Maybe, you have asked yourself, “Will I ever be good enough?”
Questions like these are normal for most of us at one time or another in our lives. Life can be demanding on us. And under the stress of great demands it is not unusual for us to make a mess of things. What seemed like a good idea yesterday is revealed as a bad idea today! At such times our assessment of ourselves can get lower and lower.
Fortunately there is hope for us in God. Jesus said, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:17, NIV). That is what we need, “to be saved.” How many times in life have you tried to pull yourself up out of the trouble, turmoil and hardship in life? How many times have you tried to save yourself? Drowning men can’t save themselves, they need help. Trust me when I say, Jesus is that help. Would you trust in him today?
Living Big In Jesus,
