“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” (Psalm 42:1-2, NIV).
The Psalmist has it right! He knows where truth is found. He knows where the freedom that does not disappoint resides. Both are found in Christ and Christ alone.
The world has bought and sold both me and my dreams a thousand times leaving me worn, torn and frayed. The world has traded me as if I were merchandise and then to toss me to the heap.
Christ has purchased me with his blood and called me beloved, as if I were the best friend he had ever known, he laid down his life for me.
My soul longs to walk in step with his Spirit, and one day to see his face, and to give him praise; to give him my life. For in him I have found the truth, the life, the light and I have been set free!
Panting for Jesus,
Keith
