AgapePoint has a fairly simple concept behind it. To point fellow human beings, whoever or where ever they may be in life, towards their loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Each day, God grants us life and in so doing provides yet, another opportunity for each of us to be drawn into a closer relationship with him. It does not matter who we are, where we have been, or what we have done (or for that matter, what we have not done), God still loves each and every one of us. God loves the preacher and the prostitute, the deacon and the drunkard, the elder and the idiot. The truth is that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, NIV). The responsibility of the Christian is not to judge other sinners (Luke 6:37), but to share the message of hope and salvation that can only be found in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
We are living in a world that has lost its way. It is more than evident that such is the case. Every day many of us witness crimes against humanity, and every night the evening news exposes the evils that we may have not witnessed. Most people that I know realize that their lives have fallen far short of the good that they would have liked. They do not need me to inform them of their many indiscretions. Most people are more than aware, and suffer greatly in their spirit for their sins. What they do need to know is that I have sinned as well, yet I have found in Christ Jesus, a Savior! That he suffered and died upon the cross of Calvary, not for the perfect man, but for the imperfect man, the sinner. And more than this, that while hell was my deserved destiny, God saw fit through Christ Jesus to make available to me an eternal and heavenly home with the Creator of the universe. That God through Christ Jesus would make me a child of God.
