This week we are looking at the woman or wife of noble character revealed in Proverbs thirty-one.
“She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.” (Proverbs 31:13-15, NIV).
Here we find that the woman of noble character eager to make provision for her family as well as for those who work under her employment. She selects wool for the making of clothing and flax for fine linen as well as a being used in the preparation of healthy foods for the family.
The woman of noble character sets her heart upon making provisions for her family with eagerness and joy in her heart. She rises early in the morning that her family is cared for and made ready for the day ahead. Such a woman may expect the Lord’s blessing upon all she does.
