Deep down inside every one of us we like the idea of being loved by someone special. Someone who understands us and accepts us where we are, yet is willing to be patient with us as we grow and mature into something greater than that which we could ever be without them.
Such a person is patient and gentle with us and yet challenges us to step up to greater heights of development. Such a person has the unique ability to see not only person we are today, but the person we can grow to be tomorrow.
Such a person as this can usually be found making an investment or sacrifice for us. Isn’t it wonderful, that every one of us has that kind of person in God? In John 3:16, Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Often times in life we measure how much someone loves us by how much they have given or sacrificed for us. God loved you enough to give his one and only Son.
